Along with these principles take time to review the self-tip's that I've learned and wrritten about throughout my notes.

Build systems which move me forward in all the important areas of my life. (Me)

Enthusiasm fades. If it is important, it probably won't be quick and easy.

Build systems, habits, rituals, environments and processes in all important areas to maintain momentum.

If you are on the fence\unsure about an important decision. The answer is No.

Parkinson's Law: things expand to fill the time/ space available.

Hoffstaeders law: everything takes longer than you think, even when you take into account Hoffstaeders law.

The time to make a day great, is the night before.

When the bed time alarm goes. Have a sleepy tea, and also get off the computer and phone. If not tired – read a book. On the kindle or paper.

Use the bed time alarm as a stop to journal what happened in the day and set the goal for the next day.

Distinguish between worker-me & the system designer me.. The system designer designs the system for worker me to operate in. know worker-me's strengths & weaknesses  and  designs accordingly.

Is the worker has weaknesses then accommodate them or fire him from that role!

Especially in this case, distinguish between what's true & what we'd like to be true

Preference the great over the new. The known classic is typically a better choice than the latest thing.

Enjoy life’s pleasures and indulgences with others

When you find that you don't have one; stopping and making a plan is usually the most effective thing you can do.

Having a plan is the way to set the course. Planning your day, week, month, 90 days, 20 years

Take time to plan out each of these steps. If at some point you find you don't have a plan. Stop and make one. It's usually the most effective thing to do in that moment.

Watch people's actions; not their words.

Be awake to your thoughts. This is being conscious.

If a thought involves me doing something well in front of an audience; it's probably a thought to stoke/ gratify/ build  the ego.

The mind is like a sushi chef constantly serving up dishes that go past on a sushi train. Passing through.. they all have different qualities. Choose which dishes to consume.

Whether thinking more about that thought,  taking action, staying  with it.

Each thought has its own flavor/ vibration which also elicits craving or aversion. Sometimes both.

These sound good and I believe them to be true. But evaluate if I can live by them.

Look for strategies that rely on being 'not dumb' rather than clever to get ahead.

It's easier to not be dumb than clever and hence easier to succeed with strategies that rely on this.

Be early. Don't be late.

Value your time. It is the most important thing. It is all you have. Don't do tedium just to make other people happy.

Check your assumptions about people (by asking) before making big decisions based on those assumptions.

This is obvious. But it's hurt me when I've ingored it.
